Common On-Site Car Repairs

Brakes:

Brake pads and rotors are are one of the most common repairs we do as mobile mechanics. We offer a great value fixed price service: $124.99 for brake pads, front or rear. That includes parts and labor. We use high quality brake pands and everything comes with our 1yr/15,000 mile warranty.

Car Battery Replacement:

We carry a large number of batteries in stock and can come and install a battery for you on site for no charge. Batteries start at just $79.99 and for most vehicles we carry batteries with a 1yr, 2yr, and 3yr warranty. Call us for a quote on your car battery - we will beat any shop quote!

Routine battery care: Scrape away corrosion from posts and cable connections; clean all surfaces; re-tighten all connections.

Engine Work:

Hard starts, rough idling, stalling, diminished power are all signs that you need your engine looked at. The Driveway Doctors can offer an on-site diagnostic by a mobile mechanic or you can get it checked out at our shop by an ASE L1 Master Tech: Rob Gouveia.

Oil Changes:

We can perform an on site standard or synthetic oil change. Our oil changes include 5 quarts of oil and a high quality EcoGuard oil filter. When we perform an on site oil change we are sending out an ASE Certified mechanic who can safely perform the service and answer any questions.

Starters & Alternators:

We can replace most starters and alternators on site. This is a very popular service as you don't have to get towed to a shop. You also can get a quote from us before we perform the service. We use high quality parts and will install new or refurbished starters or alternators as you prefer.

Windshield Wipers:

We carry Peak standard wiper blades and Michelin Beam style wiper blades. We can install these for you at no cost with any of our other on site car repair services.

Lights and Bulbs:

We will inspect all lights and bulbs; replace burned out bulbs. These are quick and easy repairs for our mobile mechanics - and a lot better than getting pulled over!

Tires:

We carry a wide range of tires at our Peabody location. Most tire work must be done at the shop. We carry Goodyear, Kelly, Yokohama and many other leading brands at world-beating prices. We will examine tires for remaining tread life, uneven wearing, and cupping; check the sidewalls for cuts and nicks. We top off tire pressure and rotate as recommended.

Free coverage close to Peabody service base.

All of Greater Boston is covered by our mobile mechanics. For some services there is a per mile fee of $1/mile from the boundary of the free service radius.

Typically we need at least one day or possibly more to schedule an on site service. We do keep emergency appoitntments available but we are not a AAA type roadside assistance program. We are a moible mechanic or mobile car repair service and offer many of your typical repairs on site including: brakes, batteries, starters, alternators, oil changes, tune ups, check engine diagnostics, and electrical issues.

We are specialists in dealing with no start issues including crank no starts and dead cars. Don't get taken for a ride, call the leading mobile car repair service instead.
