Suspension and Steering Repair Service:
1. Steering and Suspension Evaluation -
When the vehicle's steering and suspension systems suffer, driving experience also suffers. When having handling problems, unusual movements over bumps or turns, or simply needing a routine evaluation, an evaluation is necessary. Evaluation service includes inspection of major components and replacement, as necessary.
2. Tie Rods -
Tie-rods help push and pull the front tires as the steering wheel is turned. The rods play a key role in the performance of the vehicle’s steering – and the driver’s safety. Like most parts, they go bad because of the normal wear and tear of everyday driving. Faulty tie-rods result in erratic steering, wandering and significant tire wear. It’s a good idea to diagnose these steering problems or replace the tie rods if necessary.
3. Ball Joints -
The ball-joint is the pivot between the vehicle's wheels and its suspension system. This means that they are very critical to safe steering. Clicking, snapping, squeaking and thudding sounds. Many of these front-end sounds are symptoms of ball-joint failure. Because the joints link the vehicle's wheels to its suspension system, driving around with faulty ball joints is a safety hazard. Service includes visual inspection, lubrication or replacement of the part as necessary.
4, Rack and Pinion -
Rack-and-pinion steering is the most common type of steering on cars. The rack-and-pinion gear set does two things. First, it converts the motion of the steering wheel into the motion needed to turn the wheels. Second, it provides a gear reduction, making it easier to turn the wheels. The vehicle's steering system relies on the rack and pinion to make steering feel 'tight.' Service includes diagnosis of the steering system and, repair of the rack and pinion as necessary.
5. CV (Constant Velocity) Joints and CV Axles -
The CV Joints and CV Axles are found inside a rubber casing called a CV Boot. These parts are found on all Front Wheel Drive (FWD) cars and some Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) cars. Torn CV-boots and worn CV-joints or axles cause damage to transmissions and other components. Check the CV axles on a regular basis or anytime you hear clicking noises when making a turn. Service includes inspecting the CV Joint or Axle and replacing the part when necessary.
6. Shocks -
A bumpy ride means the vehicle needs new shocks. A new shocks will give the vehicle a boost in handling performance and ride comfort. Service includes inspecting the shocks, assisting in the selection and installing the replacement as necessary.
7. Struts -
Struts help to stabilize the vehicle and keep it from swaying, bouncing and bottoming out. Service includes inspecting the struts, selecting, and installing the replacement as necessary.
