Melrose, MA

Melrose is a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts with population of around 28,000.

Melrose is a suburb located north of Boston and situated in the center of Interstates 93, 95 and US Route 1.  The land that comprises Melrose was once part of Charlestown.

Although the only highway in Melrose is a tiny part of Route 99, the city has access to many nearby highways including Route 1 in Saugus, Interstate 93 in Stoneham, and Route 128/Interstate 95 in Wakefield.

Because of its tax initiative program, Melrose has become a popular place to shoot films.   In the fall of 2009, the Ben Affleck movie The Town captured many key scenes in a historic bank on Main Street downtown, while around the same time, Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise's movie Knight & Day shot scenes on the Fellsway.  The same month, a documentary for PBS about the Scopes Trial of 1925 was also shot in the Melrose City Hall.

Winchester is a town located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts north of downtown Boston.

Since the early 20th century and from its agri-industrial roots, Winchester has evolved into the community it is today.   A rich mix of immigrants  (the Irish in the northern and eastern neighborhoods, African-Americans near the New Hope Baptist Church in the highlands, and Italians in the "Plains" to the east) has complemented Winchester's Yankee forbears.

The town is now largely an affluent community for professionals who work in the greater Boston area.  Winchester has a population of around 22,000.

Winchester has two "Zone 1" stops on the MBTA Commuter Rail Lowell Line: Wedgemere and Winchester Center. The stops are in easy walking distance of one another. The Lowell Line runs from Lowell to Boston's North Station, where one can connect with the "T", Boston's subway system.

Revere is a city in Suffolk County, Massachusetts located approximately 5 miles from downtown Boston.

It is named after the American Revolutionary War patriot Paul Revere. The city has a population of around 52,000.

Revere Beach is the oldest public beach in the United States. It has an active beachfront district.  From its inception, Revere Beach was "the people's beach", used mostly by the working class and the many immigrants who settled in the area. The Revere Beach Reservation Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The city boasts of high-rise housing units, a re-sanded beach, restored pavilions, and a renovated boulevard.

Chelsea is a city in Suffolk County, Massachusetts directly across the Mystic River from the city of Boston.

Chelsea has a population of around 37,000.   It is the second most densely populated city in Massachusetts behind Somerville.   It is also the smallest city in Massachusetts in terms of land area- less than three square miles.

Chelsea is a diverse, working-class community that contains a high-level of industrial activity.   It is one of only three Massachusetts cities to have a majority Hispanic or Latino populations.

With relative affordability and close proximity to Boston, Chelsea has added more homes, mostly loft-style apartments and condominiums suitable for small families or young professionals.   There is also significant office, retail and restaurant presence throughout the city.
